The National Bursars Association (with its subsidiary company, the National Association of School Business Managers) is the largest professional organisation for bursars, school business managers and administrators in the United Kingdom.

Serving schools from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland it provides professional support to its members and to the senior management of their schools.

Membership of the Association is open to individual bursars and also to senior support staff. It serves the maintained sector in particular but also welcomes those working in other educational sectors.

The Aims of the Association

Through consultation, training and development and communication the National Bursars Association's aims are:

• The advancement of school management;
• The raising of the effectiveness of the schools in which the members serve.

To achieve its aims, the association provides professional services and programmes to:

• Promote the highest standards of school business management practices;
• Promote professional growth;
• Achieve the most effective use of educational resources.
